Stunning page from a terrific series written by Mark Evanier for Eclipse comics. Original art from Crossfire #21 by Dan Spiegle (1920 – 2017) from 1987. Page measures 11in wide X 17 inches tall. First panel has a terrific worm’s eye view of Jay Endicott. Amazing details, cross-hatching and shading film applied. This was one of the best issues of Crossfire in which the story was told in a backwards puzzle.

Crossfire was one of Dan’s favorite projects. He was also the long-running artist for the Space Family Robinson series. And prior to that, he was the artist on Hopalong Cassidy.

We believe that Dan Spiegle was one of the most original and prolific cartoonists of all time. His lengthy career includes numerous Disney live-action movie adaptations, tv adaptations, and a tenure drawing other well-known characters such as Scooby-Doo and The Hardy Boys.
